It's a toss up between myself in Alton or TheBoy in Brackley, I reckon.

.. or wait until the Newent meet when there'll be a collection of them in a field not too far away.

Would my car need this update. Not that it matters as the car is not running at the moment, and upon some serious thought, the mechanic I am taking it to tomorrow is making me have 2nd thoughts, as when I asked him to fit a coil pack for me he asked 'whats that', hence the reason I asked for a ' how to ' on changing a coil pack.
I am really bothered now.

Don't get me wrong, I have known this chap for years, he looked after all my cars when I had taxi's, and is known locally as a very good mechanic, albeit a backstreet one. But I fear he has never worked on an Omega afore.
Really bothering me now.

Er that suggests not! Many cars have coil packs, in fact most modern ones do.

And who exactly thinks he is 'very good' ? No doubt its locals who have no experience of cars, and will believe anything he says, just because he does it with a smile  ::)

If a mechanic told me he did not know what a coil pack was, i would not let him anywhere near our cars!
