The blokes a star.........
« on: 03 April 2010, 10:46:16 »

James posted a thread on here asking for a banjo bolt for my miggy...without retelling the story, the job was a night mare. First I found the PO had broken the vacuum tank by the radiator, (might explain a few things....) then James broke the end off of the plastic box on the plenum clean off, then the banjo bolt sheared, just as well I wasn't going anywhere!
Well, I repaired the vacuum tank with superglue, the plastic bit broken off the plenum got drilled out and epoxy'ed and we eventually found a couple of banjo bolts in Cheltenham.
Oh, and for good measure, the HBV was goosed too.
So far.........Cambelt kit, aux belt, aux belt tensioner, HBV, banjo bolts , oil, filter, antifreeze, fuel filter, brake pads front and rear, water pump, exhaust from the cat back.....2 tyres on the front,    My dad always said "if you want hosses, you got to have losses" and he was dead right.
Haven't totted it up yet, but quickly approaching £500.....
James went to Cheltenham to pick the bolts up for me, The blokes a star, can't say a bad word about him, above and beyond.  Thanks Mate.

Just hope it will work now.......... :-[ :-[ :-[

Not only is it superglued - the whole recess is filled with it, and it's gone as hard as nails - so doesn't look like it will break anytime soon...

That said, I agree in the long term, replacing the tank is preferable  :y
