If it comes direct from your Paypal account or bank account, then it's free.

If the funds are direct from a credit/debit card, or from Paypal credit then it's chargeable and the sender decides who pays the fees.

If it`s an overseas gift then they charge a not inconsiderable percentage (deducted from the amount sent) and a fee (charged to the sender)! :(

It's a UK transfer, but is my debit card number/bank account to/via paypal mine to thiers.

I've been trying to activate my account and have given up dealing with these muppets - it's worse than dealing with Talk Talk.
Unbelievably crap service - I'd be sacked if I provided the same.

I never keep any money in my Paypal account, use it 3/4 times a week on Ebay though and allways pay as soon as I win an item.  Payment to other party is generally instant as it is just utilised as a method of linking 2 banks accounts to send and recieve cash.

I don't like Paypal taking monies out of my bank account, they tried once, and the bank refused it.
I think you have to set a payment authorisation up with them before they will pay, which you must have Skruntie. :y

Transfer arrangements are now sorted, by passing paypal as we both have the same bank so instant transfer once we go ahead.
