more LPG filling...
« on: 05 April 2010, 20:39:13 »

Tried Asda this time, after annoyance of them being closed i like their system. You just fill up and go straight away, no wondering off to do a weekly shop, someone just started putting derv in at the LPG pump i wanted, only waited minute or two.

Asda had the different style of pump (Gas Guard) to what i was used to:

No clouds of gas on release and no smelly hands, and at 54p a litre its going to be my main watering hole.

Still doing 24mpg on gas no matter how i drive, but thats working out at 10p a mile compared to 18p on petrol, so on target for saving £10 a day.

I must admit I prefer those types of pumps to the "twisty" ones, but the French ones are still the best .... :)

They're nearly twice the size of yours! ::) ;D

Stop the obsession with MPG... Only look at ppmile :y :y

Reckon you're probably due a re-calibration and re-mapping now... Must be close to the 1000 mile mark ;)

Nearing 700 miles i would guess since, so after this weekend will do. Can you get Telio to send me a diag lead? (Unless does TB have one?)

Also whats involved? Just same as saw before? Got software installed on my work lappy....

Sweet talk TB into jumping in the passenger seat and working the lappy... It's a PITA doing it on your own :y :y

I think his lead is in the boot of the Bullet :-/ :-/

Alternatively... Hang on a little longer and it can be checked when TB's re-installation happens as I think he's planning to do it at home this time ;)

I hear Silver bullet maybe back soon, am about Sunday can do the calibration then, its running sweet though.

Although when i boot it, can be a bit jerky changing 4k rpm + foot off, too quickly and it tend to really 'jump/jerk' i have to be smoother with the pedals  ::)

Sounds exactly like the issue we have with the V6s to me.

Its almost has if it looses power/fuel for a split second, but if i am smoother releasing the clutch and smoother on/off with the power (ie much slower change) its fine

Yep. Exactly the same issue. Hesitates a little if you come off the power quickly and a gear change at full chat makes it bog down. Feathering the throttle as it changes (auto) gives you a smooth change.
