If after trying these tips you need any specialist parts e.g. an antena then these people are in Spain and speak English and Spanish.

If you drop them an EMail/query with what you have and what you want they will advise what is best.

If you're going to be "sharing" a network connection on a regular basis and are only 40m away could you run a length of cat 5 between the properties?

That would be infinitely better than relying on wireless LAN IMHO.
