I remember the very first meet, it was Santa Pod in October and Bob Dent tried to get me very drunk ::)

 ;D ;D ;D

You didn't need much pursuading!! ::)
Yep, was a chilly weekend and much fun was had by all! :y
That reminded me - we had a mini meet earlier in the day before Santa Pod, in Milton Keynes, to fix up Allenm's 2.5 which had eaten its cambelt.

Does this mean that TB and MDTM are banned from 'the other forum'?
I sort of am (knobbled account), but believe Mr DTM is still allowed over there...

Indeed I am but, there is just not the general technical knowledge over there......

218 diesel, complete with a bloody great bolt in the tyre.  Glad I did borrow her dads pikey van and car (no way will I ever have a shin breaker on my cars), as it provided:

a) Warmth - it was BLOODY COLD that night
b) Slightly more sound insulation from the chavs revving the nuts off their chavmobiles at 4am

Which reminds me further - Allenm's car obviously just wanted to go to the scrapyard.  It ate another cambelt a few weeks later.  Then Marks DTM Calib bought it, fixed it up yet again, then decided that the car in front made a better set of brakes that using the middle pedal  :P

Yep I remember Allenm's car......MDTM and Allen were late in arriving at Santa Pod as they'd only just finished putting his heads back on. That's one Omega that was never destined for a long life. ::)
