Took My Motor For a Spin Last Night
« on: 22 April 2010, 07:13:43 »

And it was blooming brilliant. Having been off the road for nearly 5 months and being reduced to driving a knackered Audi 80 TDi and for the most part a Ka, getting back into my Mig was just heaven.

Did about 50 miles and it ran faultlessly, and with the amount of varying cars I now drive on a daily basis working for Enterprise, I was amazed at how quite it still is and the performance is blooming good too. Only thing that shows its age is the steering imho. Just feels very slow and 'wooly'?

But, god I love having my car back!!!

RWD, so lacks the rock hard feel of FWD. Also, built for comfort, so dual rate springs. Oh, and 140k on the clock! However, once used to, handles very well. I know from personal experience ;)

Oh boy, do we miss that car...

Nearly 157k on the clock now Jaime :o :o

Got the tax disc in  the post today (was being a tiny bit naughty by driving it before I could display it I know ::)) and swmbo took it for a drive (she refused to take it out till it was 100% legal + I dont think she had 110% confidence it wasnt going to conk out on her :-[ :'(). She came back with a big grin on her face and said 'its good to have him back' (I wont let on that 'him' is a 'her' ;D)

So thats on the road, the Polo just needs taxing (its a race as to what docs she gets in the post first, the V5 or insurance cover note).

Once thats done the Ka will go to its new home, on the street outside my lads new flat, and the Audi will be sold, in fact, im about to make up a couple of signs whilst im sitting here.
