PMSL, but you are so right Debs.

Mind you I fitted an aftermarket one clipped on the cetre air vent, keeps my can of coke icy cold.  :y

That is  8-)

 ;D

I wonder if I could fix one to my Suffolk Punch? Suspect it might need a balancer shaft in the engine to avoid spillages, though. ::)

I'm guessing the grass filtering through the teeth takes a bit of practice, or does the cup have a lid? ;D

Recalcitrant single cylinder engines; they can be an absolute nightmare to get going. :'(

Clean the spark-plug (and check for a fat-spark when yanking the starter cord), clean out the carb.`s float-bowl and ensure fuel is reaching the carb., make sure the choke cable (if it has one) makes the choke-butterfly go both 'fully' open and closed, replace the engine`s oil (there`s never much in them) and use fresh/new petrol in the tank.....then there`d be not much else to stop 'one man going to mow any meadow!' :y

The Atco 17" I was given, had lain idle outside for some time and it showed no signs whatsoever of starting on the pull cord. Off came the head and the single exhaust valve (side vlave too) had stuck open. A squirt with Eazit to free it off so had it opening & closing on the cam. It filled my garage with smoke when it did start.  ;D  ;D  ;D
