Short term insurance
« on: 28 April 2010, 16:39:35 »

Hi All I am hoping to get another mig this weekend. I will need insurance to bring it home. My insurer dosent cover me to drive another car owned by me. I am going around 70 miles so dont want to have to go back. Looked at day rates for this but thing is can only be done on net. Has anyone any ideas how to get round this. I wont have computer with me.

Give your insurers a call. They may be able to provisionally insure you to drive it subject to a later confirmation that you have bought the car or you may be able to swap it on the phone as soon as you've bought it.

Last time I was in this position, my insurers gave me a 1 month overlap during which time I could drive either car, which I could cancel if required.
