Drove all the way to S, Wales & back today & two miles from home i hit standing traffic so i took a detour.
I was following a three vehicles which where making their way passed some parked cars & i heard a crunch.
An old guy (around 75 ish) had just drove into a parked van & car at very low speed that where parked on his side of the road.
Now the van was a good deal wider than the car & so he'd caught the side of the car with his car & ran into the back of the van I drove passed him & looked down to see a very bemused look on his face whilst he adjusted his glasses (too late mate, should have gone to Spec Savers).

As i drove up the road i saw him get out & walk around to what damage he had just caused.
A prime example of a re-test that should be taken at every ten year intervals to see how competent at driving you are.

Can you imagine the roads if that ever became the law? You'd never make it more than a mile without colliding with an old boy taking his test.

i wouldnt want to be driving at 65, if im still alive  ,
its full of mad arses now as it is, without having to worry bout it at 65. i'll be at home having a brew and watching daytime tv

Trouble with that is that there are some drivers that are much younger that shouldn't be on the road. Years ago my uncle wrote a car off by not going wide enough when overtaking a parked HGV/trailer. He hit & bent the A post of his car on the corner of the trailer - he'd have been late 50's/early 60's at the time. It just confirmed why I was always reluctant to get in a car with him.  :-?

My sister shouldnt be on the road, countless accidents for not paying attention, and i had to go to the local dvla office with her today, found myself braking and i was sitting in the passenger seat Shes a scary driver

Yeah, but in those days it was ok to drive rotten drunk.

In the 70's, when I was working on building sites, everyone used to go straight to the pub after work, then head home via the off-license about ten o'clock. Everyone on the road was drunk. If you were weaving too badly, the police would tell you to go straight home and definately not stop at any more pubs.
