1st year was £470 for 2 cars, 0% NCD on 2nd car

2nd year they try to up it, untill I reminded them it should be going down, Full NCD on 1st car, 1 year on 2nd car, finally paid £400, but then had an admin charge on both for changing address.


Just opened this months renewal.

Elite has 100% NCD
GLS now up to 2 years NCD


Cheeky sods want £553.74  (I dont think so)

Admitted there will be a rise as my post code is now classed as a lot higher risk (all though the area is a lot safer than where I moved from)  but I compensated that agaist an extra years NCD, in theory thought it would still be approx £400

Any other companys do good years on multiple cars, will get prices before I speak to Admiral.

I found Admiral MC very expensive... Swiftcover were cheaper for both cars and didn't try it on at renewal time either

Just tell Admiral that you moving to another Ins Co. They will soon drop the price

Apparently thats illegal, as officially an insurance certificate should have some sort of water mark with the insurers name on it to avoid the event of copies being created.  (or at least thats how it used to be)

Not printed it for a couple of years but it used to have a "watermark" in the printing... It does have a covering letter too

All the certificates I've had for the past 5+ years have been printed on laser printers and standard paper received through the post.

It looks like my new post code is guilty of the price of my insurance.

Swiftcover want £279 to cover the Elite

Admiral are £229 (£200 last year at the old address.)

But the GLS last year was £200 with 1 yrs NCD
this year is £277 with 2 yrs NCD

15% increase on main car, should equate to 15% on 2nd car in my book.


Ah well, the joys of motoring just added £100 to last years bill, £2  £1 per week for each car if you say it quick.

Mine has just gone up by £20, it was £176 for the TD estate last year. Morethan, I will be asking them how much the other car is going up by before deciding to part with my money.
