David Cameron's serious lack of judgement
« on: 05 May 2010, 12:50:16 »

David Cameron: "I love Friends, but I never got into Seinfeld"

You love Friends????? (bland, lame, popular aspirational sitcom featuring 6 main characters (only one of whom is actually funny - and please...if you have to ask.....) all doing a variety of jobs (waitress, out of work actor, busker/masseuse somehow holding the rent together for two beautiful roof apartments in the middle of NY   :-?

You never got into Seinfeld - sharp, witty, cruel, non-pc...less popular (in this country....bizarrely)??  Sorry that beggars belief DC - for that reason - I'm out  :y

You probably find "Only Fools and Horses" hilarious and never 'got' Frasier either (more Only Fools fans DC...smart)  :o

Hang on, you're basing your vote on what a party leader watches on TV?  Strewth, god forbid should one ever admit to have watched Neighbours.....

Or is it confirmation of your choice along TV viewing preference lines?

I have found my choice of viewing/listening material has changed as I have got older. When young/teenager/twenties I would never ever listen to the news. Now (44) I find the news is often the best programme to listen/watch.

I personally prefer comedy programmes when I do watch for entertainment purposes. But should I be criticised for my viewing choice ?

Personally I love programmes like 2 pints of Lager and a packet of crisps, Coming of Age, and Shameless. All I would say, programmes aimed at the less intelligent amongst us. Yet I find them to be a kind of release from the every day work/life pressures.

You made it sound like that was the cherry on the cake to confirm your decision of political party..................based on TV rather than policy, substance and leadership.
