advice on new building wanted
« on: 16 May 2010, 18:06:48 »

in our village we are having a new village hall built
two weeks ago they put the roof on
its galvanised corrugated iron
the problem is when the sun is on it the glare is unbearable this is from about 9 in the morning til about 6 at the moment but we are not in summer yet
the hall is about 50 meters from my back door
the parish councillor in charge of the build told swmbo that it will fade in time
looking on the net it is going to be at least 2 years before it fades enough not to cause glare
any ideas anyone?

The old trick for getting an aged look on walls and rooves is to spray yoghurt or waste milk on it during a dry period...... encourages moss and lichen, I jest you not!

Did this on a newly repaired stone gable end many years ago, speeded up the "matching in" process.

How about a midnight raid?   [smiley=evil.gif]
