Parts relay idea
« on: 18 May 2010, 10:57:41 »

I like the idea of this "parts relay" thing....
I have to get a bike carrier over to Daz in ST7 postcode. (Stoke-on-Trent)

Is there anybody going anywhere close to that relatively soon that i could drop it over to that Daz could meet up with to collect it?

just a thought, if this works well, we could have a section for this............saves carriage, etc.

Could also work with storage until picked up. Many ebyers (for instance) expect a large item to be collected immediately ---- which isn't always possible. It could help if a member local to the seller was willing to collect and hold it for pick up.

What we want then, is a section where we can post places we are going to soon, so people can ask us/meet us/collect from us,

i.e.

hello, i'm going to Bristol on saturday, anybody needing to have something picked up or delivered to bristol get it to me by friday, or anybody having something to bristol call me on ********* and arrange to meet me at............

How do we start this off and make a section for it??

I'm going down to Swindon next Weds, I will be a full up load wise with the TD estate on the return I guess, how big is it?
So close to Lydney (sort of) if I make my way back up to Derby via the M6. Closest would be Cheltenham or Cirencester or M6 junction.
Can keep for Daz at my place, he knows where I live anyway  :y
Any good?
