Car insurance
« on: 17 May 2010, 18:28:42 »

I was browsing and looking for a lower insurance qoute for next month and i think i`ll just get rid of the car as there is no way i can afford qoutes of £900 + for the miggy...I now understand why a lot of people decide to drive illegally all the time....Go compare and the rest just seem to take the mickey out of you when you compare the rates.......Ah well if  i do lose the motor then theres always public transport i suppose...... :(

Bertie! How old are you? How many points (if any)?
I think almost 5k is ludicrous.
You must be putting wrong info in.

Hey Bertie,
my names Ben and I drive an Astra VXR myself so I spend quite a bit of time on Vauxhall owners forums but I also actually work at Zurich Connect.
Sorry to hear that you got such a high quote from Zurich Connect.  :(
I actually had a look at a quote for your postcode myself using a v6 Omega and it came out at about £1500 so I think that maybe something went wrong when you did the quote first time..
Please feel free to try again and if it still doesnt look right then there are ways you can get in touch to and get help.
Either way I hope that your previous experience doesnt put you off considering us in the future.
regards

Yes would be interesting if we could get discounts from insurers and parts suppliers, tyres and exhausts etc.

Allthough nor every one logs on everyday the membership is growing rather rapidly.

Well I'm a member of the MMOC (Morris Minor OC) and they've an agreement with AON/Footman James for a 15% discount for club members. No harm in asking though, eh? ;)

It's just a way of saying 'we don't want to insure you' I had a silly quote something similar a few years ago, SWMBO had had a bump - 3rd party claimed for the world, lost income etc When I was asked how much the calim was I didn't know - or cared - so was given a stupid quote.  :-?
