Let me put it this way: If I got stopped by PC plod for flying an ENGLAND FLAG ( our country) I would deck the blank, and suffer the consequences of our illogical, and stupid legal system. I'd probably get a couple of years (welll 3 months considering the half they automatically take off , plus time served on remand, plus tagging), yet we can't boot out terrorists in case they may get tortured if we deport them. HELLO >:( send the muslim blanks that want to commit attrocities in our country to my house, and they'll  find out what torture is. ;) ;)Why the blank do we pander to these bloody minorities, and the liberals that constantly moan about Human Rights ETC. If they don't like how the majority feel then BLANK OFF >:( >:(  :D

i was not there so can only say what i have been told by my son and his mates
yes they are squaddies out for some entertainment
but i certainly do not think that my son would lie or extend the truth about it to say they were peed off when he phoned was an understatment
i do not know if there was another cause why they were stopped but the first thing said was remove the flags

oh Penfold i was not there YOU most certainly wern't there so how do you work out it's horseshit

Manta, when i say its horsexxxx that means its beyond ridiculous that the Police told them to take the flags down, I did NOT mean that the story you told in the OP isnt true.....

I am fed up with not being allowed to do this or do that cos it might offend someone......this is our country.......!!!

i'm liberal (aren't we all?), and me nor anyone i know takes offence at the georges cross flag flying - in fact I bought a Mars Bar from Sainsburys the other day with a St Georges cross wrapper.....next month with the World Cup, I'd imagine they'll be everywhere so good luck enforcing that  :y

in truth there can't be a law against flying an english flag in the UK, so this seems like an over zealous cop or superiors missinterpreting the law (there is no law afaik) ;)

Stories like this make my blood boil.

A couple of months ago it was the Iraqi elections and Iraqis living in this country were allowed to vote at specially designated centres (one f which was about a mile from my house). Thousands and thousands of Iraqis turned up to vote and caused utter chaos for two days by parking where they felt like and causing major traffic delays. There was a massive police presence (obviously paid for by the taxpayer) and almost every car had at least one Iraqi flag on it (some had massive flags on the bonnet which could easily have been blown onto the windscreen causing an accident) and the police did nothing.

So when someone tells me I can't fly the england flag on my own car or outside my own home then I'm sorry but they will be told politely where they can shove it >:( >:( >:( >:(
