bloody hospitals
« on: 25 May 2010, 12:19:13 »

mum went in yesterday for hip replacement, left her sitting there since 7am, 5pm they cancelled it, sister couldnt get any information, mum hadnt eaten since sunday, getting very distressed(shes 76) sister rang this morning, whats going on. "sorry dont know, ring later" asked to speak to someone, nurse hadnt a clue whop to ask. reminded the hospital they have already killed my auntie 3 years ago cause they have a dont give a shite attitude. now gone 12 and not 1 person can give us any information on whats going on. mum doesnt want me going up there as she knows i'll go mental. ealing hospital should be shut down, it is an absolute joke, too many people walking about doing nothing and not a care in the world.  >:( >:(

You are all going through it Richie!! :o :o :'( :'(

To treat anyone like that is very bad, but a 76 year old woman.......!!! >:( >:(

I'd personally be now speaking to the management and pushing them hard, raising bloody hell, and maybe even threatening them with going to the local press!! >:( >:( >:(

Hope all is sorted soon Richie! ;) ;)

i spent 8 hours in hospital myself yesterday so know what it's like to not eat for a day but to treat your elderly mum like that is bloody disgusting, how can it take them all rather day to do nothing then cancel???

i was annoyed myself at them getting me in at 12 to not operate till 4 (and they sat us next to the canteen) but it pales into insignificance to what your poor mum had to suffer.

give 'em some sh!t mate >:(

credit where it is due - for the second time this year we find ourselves this week with my father (aged 89) in hospital in Manchester and my wife's father (aged 84) in hospital in Truro having been rushed in with heart attacks and pneumonia issues.

despite one of the hospitals receiving a lot of stick in recent years we have nothing but respect for all that they have done for these guys when if standards were as bad in all hospitals as often get reported then I doubt they would have survived.

we expect both out in next 2 days althoguh the aftermath is another matter and the strains on the family etc.

We are very grateful to both these hospitals
