Dining room chairs, christmas trees and decorations, computer monitors, dolls, model aircraft, 2 old steroe systems, books, more books, fishing gear, speakers, boxes, more boxes, toys,
footballs, 45 rpm records, LP's, tapes, 1960's tape recorder, Betamax video recorder (one of the first) electric guitar, acoustic guitar, two caravan awing bed annexes,  etc etc etc etc etc etc.
One of these days the joists are gonna give up and drop the flippin' lot in the bedrooms.

In a nutshell....36 years of crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If it's a Fender Stratocruiser I'll give you a fiver to take it off your hands.  ::) ::)

Just call me Ron Hopeful!

STRATOCASTER???   I got a couple of them, but I'm keeping them too!!

What's the difference between a stratocruiser and a stratocaster? Is the latter more valuable?  :-?

Pete Townshend referred to his guitar as a Stratocruiser:

"I knocked about on that for a bit and the first actual guitar I owned was a Harmony single pickup Stratocruiser which I sprayed red. And the next decent guitar I had I bought from Roger (Daltrey) which was an Epiphone solid. He let me buy that from him on easy payments. Roger used to be a lead guitar player in a band and so he could afford a good guitar. This brings us up until about ’62 and by that time I was playing pretty good."

I think (but Im not sure) that stratocruiser was a nickname for a Stratocaster. Anyway if anyone has one in the loft I will up Nicks bid and will pay a tenner for it, even if its a really really old one. :y ::) :D ;D

"The Squier Special Strat is the all time classic of electric guitars. The original Stratocaster, as it was named, was designed and built in 1954 by Leo Fender, an amp and guitar maker in America. The design of the guitar was, and still is, revolutionary and we believe it owes its modernistic name to the then super-modern aircraft, the 'Stratocruiser'."

http://www.axemusic.co.uk/squier_special_strat_pack.html

Which is probably the reason that the Stratocaster is nicknamed the Startocruiser by some.

There you go. All one and the same. I'll still give a fiver for it! :y

In the light of Albs' bid, I'll raise it by a fiver to fifteen. Can't say fairer than that!

Which reminds me. I found a painting and a violin in the loft. I took them to my local auction house last week and the man told me to leave them with him while he valued them. Anyway, I went back today and he said that he had some good news and some bad news. Here's the conversation:

Me: I'll take the good news first, then.

Him: Well, I pleased to tell you that you brought in a Stradivarius and a Rembrandt.

Me: Great! What can the bad news be?

Him: Stradivarius couldn't paint and Rembrandt made lousy violins.

I dont have anything in my loft, I put things in the cellar. Its a perfect environment to store things that you was to go rusty or rot within a few months.

Conducted an inventory of the 365 comics I found:

7 issues of The Wizard (24 August 1963 to 16 November 1963)
44 issues of Rover & Wizard (14 March 1964 to 15 May 1965)
78 issues of Tiger & Hurricane (19 March 1966 to 21 December 1968)
20 issues of Tiger & Jag (04 August 1973 to 24 August 1974)
1 issue of Tiger (20 September 1974)
215 issues of Tiger & Scorcher (12 October 1974 to 02 June 1979)

Obviously some issues missing but Ebay beckons, methinks.  :y

That would of been hard to reach from the back seat but if you had longer arms then you might of done ;D ;D ;D ;D

 ;D ;D ;D That's true.

Mind you, Maria, you didn't mention hot pants. Whilst in my loft I found a programme for the John Player European Grand Prix at Brands Hatch back in 1970-something. The JPS team hired load of leggy blondes wearing black T-shirts and tight gold hot pants to hand out free fags. :yIt was all a bit too much for an innocent boy like me.  ;) ;D ;D

1973 iirc, cos I was there, and took the fags...... :D :D
Free transport and entrance, went when I was at HMS Ganges, so 15 going on 16 at the time........... ;D ;D ;D
[/highlight]

Bloody Hell! I was in the 1969 Intake! How Ancient am I ? :-/ ;)

So you were a Ganges boy then.... :y
I have just asked you the question on another thread, something about you being puddled........ :D :D :D
