Why are my posts being removed?
« on: 02 June 2010, 15:12:51 »

I understand you need 50 posts to post in the for sale section.
I acheived 50 posts, then posted my advert, then half my counts have been removed and also my advert?
I have regulary used this forum, but don't always post comments?
All I am trying to do is pass on a decent omega to someone else? Why am I being punished for not posting everytime I come on here?

Can someone please help/explain?

cheers

Im not the sort of person who uses forums to post rubbish. So the only way I can get to 50 posts is via having problems, helping people with problems or posting adverts?
Therefore in order to get 50 posts, I need more problems to try and sell my car/parts?

As a regular user of the forum I am surprised at your relatively low post count. You do not need to have problems with your Omega in order to post, hence "General Discussion" & "General Car Chat". Perhaps admins/mods would have been less sceptical of your "for sale" post if you had refrained from welcoming new/newish members adhoc to attain the required 50 posts. As for being "punished" I assume you are using that term loosely. Hope this explains.  :y

I fail to understand how else Im supposed to get this all mighty post count up? Im trying to sell my car, which is in good condition, so therefore I dont need to post in the help/discussion section and nor am I the type of person who posts 'nice car mate' or 'I wish I had the cash'.
All im trying to do is pass on an omega to a fellow omega enthusiast, on an omega enthusiast web site?
Ive already asked a moderator to transfer it to the for sale section before saying hello to 20 other newbies.
I suppose if I keep typing about this thread it'll will eventually get my count up? or will it just be removed...again....?!

Dont want to sound like a whinge, but I suppose its too late now!!!!  >:(  ;)

Thats pretty much what you did when you welcomed newbies, isn't it?

Have a read of the following, posted at the top of the Newbies Welcome section.

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1263149913

And then a wee look at the forum guidelines, at the top of every section, in particular, cars and parts for sale....

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?virboard=Newbies;num=1209458172

Your posts dredging up welcomes of (not so) newbies were deleted by Admin, as was the car for sale add to be in accordance with the guidelines as quoted.

You are not the first nor, I suspect, will you be the last to comment on this approach.  It does resolve the 'Panda' issue though - eats shoots and leaves....   ;D

As said by others, posting guff to get a count to sell a car on here isn't all that hard - just do it within the guidelines!   :y

ps - this thread will be moved to the Gen Discussion area as its more appropriate....  ;)
