You'd think that, with all their money, Currys would be extremely careful in selecting only the best agency to make their TV advertisements.

Take a look, if you get the chance, at the advert which as been running today which concentrates on their cut-price flat-screen prices.

Look at the bottom of the picture:

"Ariel upgrade may be required....."

Soap powder, motorcycle...?

It's not inconceivable that they think people watch soaps on them so the soaps might need upgrading?

Most areas of skill are being dumbed-down these days in the UK.  I won't start listing them but you've obviously picked-up on one.

There was a time when lots of people were involved in tv productions, most of whom could spot an error like that in an instant.  It was probably done by a media studies graduate on their first assignment.
