I have just re-kindled an old love love of mine....

Pimm's No 1-with the delicious addition of strawberries, orange slices, diced skinless cucumber, mint from the garden and decent (non-lemon flavoured) sugary lemonade.

Now I like a drink, like a few on here  but had forgotten the delight of this, in continental fluted 500ml/pint glasses.

My own rules; Pimm's at room temperature, leave in (2 litre  )  Pimm's jug with the fruit to infuse for an hour, add a splash of Tropicana Smooth, the lemonade and a handful of crushed ice, drink until jolly.

I like many summer drinks, including the old favourites:
Westons Vintage 7% Organic Still cider
Westons Vintage 8.2%
My own bespoke cocktails with pulped/seived fresh fruit running about 30% abv
Rose wine
Certain summery real ales
Bianco and (good) lemonade

But Pimm's IS the essence of summer....

Normally drink Zywiec or vodka but last weekend discovered Smirnoff Ice, gorgeous with ice and a slice of lemon on these hot evenings.......

Zywiec not as good as Okocim on draught....have you tried? 

Many a night on Morrison's "The Best" own brand vodka and Tropicana Smooth has been had here.  That is the very best vodka outside Poland and does not freeze in the freezer like Smirnoff Red; we adore it

Zywiec not as good as Okocim on draught....have you tried? 

Feel in love with Zywiec and the design of the can when I first went Poland, nothing else will do for me.....!!!

She sniffed my Pimm's, shuddered ecstatically and drank her 0% beer.
