Anyone else got a trail bike or MX style bike ?

These are great fun, but not much good for long distance work.

I've got a Moto X bike but it's not street legal (minor detail). Could plate it up but wouldn't be allowed out in the dark :'(

Could always Super Moto it to get a ticket on it. Would be fun. :y :y

Very nice bike. Thought I was the only one on here with a proper bike  ;D

Have you tried it on tarmac ? I run proper trail tyres and get a good level of grip on tamac, enough for a small stoppie.  :y

I like the idea of an OOF ride-out.

Wales for a day probably would be a bit of a stretch for me, but a weekend would be do-able. Scotland sounds good also.

Is the poll multi-option?

its always going to be hard to pick a location as everyone is spread across UK. My vote was over-nighter in Wales

I think your bigger problem is differing riders abilities - faster riders will be frustrated by slower riders, and slower riders may try a bit beyond their abilities in an attempt to keep up. Bad recipe...

Personally, I like to ride slower than partially due to a 21yr old bike, with 21yr old performance/handling/braking

I could probably manage that! ;D

Wales has some lovely roads if it's not been raining recently.  Fantastic road over Black Mountain tests your 0mph cornering on 1:10 gradients!

If I find some work I could probably afford the petrol!

No, trust me, I do. I don't (often) do the high speed stuff - spending lots of time in 3 figures is not going to do my poor old bike many favours, so I mostly refrain....
