Rubber Plug?

Just changed the oil and filter on the wifes 1.2 corsa - r reg. when looking at the front of the oil sump i noticed a rubber plug which pulled out very easily. Can anyone tell me what this rubber plug is? Thanks

That would be the 'easily pulled out rubber sump plug', you're not supposed to touch it!  :o.

No worries Phil! What use does it have since you drain the oil from the metal plug.
