would have thought they would have charged you the pallet price, but they are longer than a pallet, sadly they go by size/volume and weight.

Might do as it's over the border, but generally smaller stuff from uk postcode to uk postcode is a set price, never sent anything large so would know where to start.

Just realised how far that is on Google Maps:
A47
397 mi      7 hours 34 mins

M6
463 mi      7 hours 52 mins

I suppose a quote of £223 is not that bad ;) ;)

Just a thouht, look up bumpers for sale on bay, when they are all listed then look for ones listing carriage and look up what courier options they are using, or ring a couple and ask, better looking at the regular parts guys i reckon.   :y

Plus there have been the odd member or 2 offering courier services.

Pity you dont know any hauliers that that travel between the 2 area's, worth a few quid to a driver for the bumpers to tag along for the ride.  :y

I have used Shiply.com a few times. Basically you post what you want to go where and couriers come back to you with quotes.  Often it's drivers filling up for return loads etc .... reasonable prices. I have has leading links delivered for £30 and an engine for £60.

Worth a try anyway  :)
