On a train.
First time I'd been on a train for about 10 years, I think. Journey up was OK - the 07:53 from Ipswich to Liverpool Street was half empty. But I don't understand - my internet purchased ticket came with a (free) seat reservation, but the train didn't actually have any reservations indicated on the seats, and someone was already installed in my seat.
The trip back (16:30 from Liverpool Street) was absolutely packed. Again, no seat reservations, but to my intense irritation, the seat allocated to me (already occupied) faced away from the direction of travel. I can't do that - makes me feel ill to travel backwards - I'd rather stand all the way. However, I was able to secure a forward facing seat, in which I sweltered for 65 minutes, as there didn't appear to be any ventilation, let alone airconditioning.
I couldn't be a regular train traveller - I don't possess enough technology to display to the world at large.

I enjoyed my day out in the City of London, though, apart from the 3˝ hours of exams I was doing. Very tiring for an old bloke, though.
