Well done Phil, great news....... :y :y :y

Been there, done that, got the Scars and a couple of other problems as a result but all gone and clear. :y I too found the NHS brilliant, South Tees GH and North Tees, I see my Consultant every 6 months for, what I call my MOT :) And I also owe so much to the Macmillan Nurses for their continued support, particularly during bouts of poor health which sadly are quite freequent......But life goes on..... :y :y

Thankyou Vamps  :y, & I absolutely echo those lovely sentiments exactly! :y I had no idea we were in a 'Brotherhood'? but it's great to find you are a survivor too!!! :y :y  South Tees said my tumour was 'inoperable' & I literally scoured the World via the Internet to find a surgeon willing & able enough to help me, & finally found Prof Mike Griffin less than 40 miles away & literally at the 'last minute' as my tumour was massive by that time!!!  (120mm x 160mm)  :o:D and Thank God I did :) Interestingly, he had trained the Consultant Surgeon at South Tees!!!! ::)

Hope you get the all clear Phil,Its amazing how many cancers can be cured these days. To observe the work of the staff in cancer units, from the specialists through to the  nurses and even the porters etc  is a very humbling experience.I am filled with  admiration for them. :y

Reached this thread quite late, Phil - it's wonderful to hear of a success story like yours, all the best for tomorrow. Lost too many brilliant people to cancer from family and friends. It's also fantastic to see your upbeat attitude to life, too many people think life owes them a favour  :y
