How dare i take time off work!!!
« on: 22 June 2010, 23:11:33 »

Back today, been off since thursday. Today the plan was to tip a 20ft container @ Selby do a quick local shunt, then run off with a 40ft container to load @ Hythe 10am tomorow. Did the Selby, empty back to the yard only to be given a 45ft tilt trailer to tip in Hull. Double stacked fully strapped load so had to strip both sides out in a proper suntrap with no breeze. Needless to say i was sweating like The Boy @ a vegetarian BBQ!!!! Now parked up @ Cambridge. I'll get done & home tomorrow but have to be in Acton (W3 near park royal/wembley) 10am thursday!!! No rest for the stupid!
I had to step in ith the Hull job because one of the lads mum had a stroke so he had to shoot off. Hope she's ok.

Hj Maria. The A14 parking was full so i came off the first exit of the M11 into Cambridge. A mile or so along is a big leafy layby set back from the road on the right. You can't turn right into it in an artic so you go to the first (funny shaped) roundabout then pulled in to the left. Shady, gentle breeze & the sound of willow on leather with occasional restrained applause. All i needed was Captain Zok's Port & cheeseboard!!!
    Very civilised indeed!! :)
