They are both slowly rotting away due to age/lack of use.  Reality is you will never have time to do the mini.

As to the caravan, thats a no-brainer, PIKEY :P

How did I know that was going to be your answer ::) ::)

But no Caravan means no Oven at meets... Which means no Brownies ::) ::)
Tell her she has a perfectly good kitchen at home, she just needs to learn to be organised, and make plenty beforehand.

Also tell her that the above was written by you

What are you? Man or Mouse? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Oh... And she said, no more Brownies for you ::) ::)
Maybe Mrs LD should punish me?  :-[

I think a great punishment would be Death by Brownies  :D

See if someone just jumped onto this thread without knowing the reasoning behind your immediately previous post, it would be SSSSSOOOOO misconstrued!   ;D
The Judge would understand.  Actually, with my few dealings with Judges, they would be thinking like you did ;D

i would spend on the mini and make a profit, sell the caravan then have 2500 profit to do what ever you wish to do without selling the caravan. a decision you both have to make together and not regret after.

I would say caravan goes. Get a nice comfortable tent instead. It will be less of a liability when you're not using it and not far off as comfortable when you are. Just got a lovely one ourselves which we would be trying out in the lakes if Mrs. KW didn't have a diary conflict.

Mini. :-/ My heart says get it back on the road. In reality a project that hasn't been touched in 5 years won't be. :( (Don't tell mrs. KW that also applies to tiling the bathroom floor, by the way).

Garden. Don't spend money on plants that will only die when you forget / don't have time / can't be @rsed to water them Grass Astroturf concrete is the answer. ;) Spend the money on putting up a garage so the next mini can be worked on in all weathers. :y

voted sell both, but thats without knowing what the mini could be worth, if there's cash in it get cracking, if not get rid, sell the pikey wagon and buy that 3.2 estate you've been after. Both just sitting there is money waisting away, (says the bloke who's not used his bike this year yet.)

either way i wouldn't spend that sort of cash on the garden personally, but thats just me, with a smaller garden by the sound of it, which suites me just fine. :y

Looks like a landslide majority to sell both, votes alone for that add to more than the rest added together.

How ever, if you were keeping the mini I think voting would have been different.

I thought it would be clear enough... Sell one or the other (keeping the other one), sell both or keep both :-/ :-/

It is interesting seeing other people's opinions :y

But she does know that I've put it on here :y :y

At the end of the day, it's a decision only we can make but I was just interested in what other people would do :y

It's just a thought at the moment anyway... We may keep both anyway :y

Truth be known I'd like to keep both... But we have to be realistic so we're thinking about options ;)

Sell both, the mini is the late type (early 90's car) and not really the most desireable anyway.

All caravans should be scrapped.

Hi Paul. MDTM hates Minis & caravans. He's a clever chap no denying it. But he has a practical scientific approach & does'nt give in to the love & passion of something expensive & pointless...(I do) I've run Minis on the road & low level circuit racing. They are totally unique either way ie there is'nt anything like a Mini. They are also little money pits that rot for Italy (Lancia) & have countless other niggly problems that you spend a fortune on but never get quite get on top of. I think the price you have in mind once done is a tad optimistic. Get it Mot'd, tax it (helps with the sale) & get what you can but keep it basic...spend less & expect less.
Regarding the van, you've got all the gear, paid nothing for it & i know you & M love spending time in it as you mentioned looking for a twin axle. Mine cost £200 & is worth £800/£1200. Yours cost you Diddly squat. I don't use mine as much as i'd like but enjoy it when i do. Point being you'd miss it if you sold it & it'd cost MUCH more to replace which is why i'd never sell mine.
Bottom line...do the rock bottom you need to do on the Mini, valet & sell cheap, use the money to do the garden & keep the van. Lastly sit in the van with a brew/beer/telly/music/lappy in the rain & watch all the caravan knockers suffer trying to set up or sitting in a steamed up car with angry wives & children waiting for better weather... I know what i'd choose!!!
Hope to see you both soon, Guy. :y
