3d tv.

Demo 50 inch panasonic 600htz plasma 3d tv in Dixons. Needs glasses, 2 pairs with it, powered for some reason?
Very very impressive picture. Forget Avatar 3d at the cinema, makes that look like a flick book cartoon. :o

Shame I won't need another Telly for 10 years, hopefully. :-X

50 inch?  Ideal for the crapper, or maybe the guest bedroom!  :P

How many programmes currently on tv (have a look at the listings) are worthy of such a beast. I have sky, sports, movies etc. There is nowt on.

Because they will be blacking out one lense at a time in order to transfer the stereo image from a single screen  :y

powered ones do give slightly better picture to rotational or coloured lens glasses, for me though, its 3D games which will really take off  :y

In 3d, no programmes listed on sky 3d demo channel, apart from demo's obviously. Standard and HD is something to behold as well.

In our planner currently, 90% is HD, of which 60% is sport, most waiting our attention. Plenty for us tbh. But i take your point too, the technology though, bloody works.  :o

They obviously see a market for it, can't help think it's release is poorly timed, most have just bought a large panel already I would think?

Sky's one will use non powered 3Dness, they will provide glasses, which use rotation in each lense, so works on any TV. (although no at good as a true 3D panel)

From what i hear its going to be free for HD customers, but i can't see many programs being done.

The problem is whole filming techniques need to change, to allow 3D. All filming techniques at the moment are setup for 2D.

Free? Sky? Noooo, surely not? Would have to work on normal tv I suppose  :)

Seen a demo, very effective but the shutter glasses gave me a headache.

Looks like I am staying with 2D for games.

Anyway got the game 3D firmware but not the BD firmware yet
