I do a lot of driving, often on motorway in the dead of night - sometimes really remote. It's just nice to know that if I break down, and don't have any tools / spares etc with me, I can get towed home, without having to pay an arm and a leg!!

£20/month is steep.. but I do get european cover with that!

Its still 4 times more than you need to be paying.......even with europeon cover...

At the end of the day, if you can change a wheel yourself....the most you need is recovery.....coz these recovery guys cant do bog all with a modern car at the side of the road any more...

James... so your paying £240 for breakdown cover per year??? ...ok so it includes euroland but.....

As DTM mentioned breakdown cover is £40 a year (AA or RAC)

For my trip to Europe I am taking out a years European breakdown cover (cheaper than single trip) for the Senator... cost? £88  :y

So thats less than half what your paying at the moment!

Marks right, they want to take you home rather than fix the car because theres more money in recovering the vehicle.
