Booked in for MOT tommorow.
« on: 19 July 2010, 15:42:08 »

Adviseries last year

Front tyres getting low
Dics corroded (Hardly used car through illness so not surprised)
Wish bone bush worn.
Coloured bulbs (think he said indictors) need replacing.

Put some Vx pads and discs on (still bedding them in)
Changing the bulbs later.

Cars done 1700miles  since last test so lets see what the state of the bush is.

Tryes have been told are still legal.

Plus having the air con regassed.

Air con was fine (ish) at christmas, allways switch it on to lubricate the system, but then didnt use the car till March, recent hot weather, still cold air, but not cold enough, went out last week and now it seems the air con is not kicking in.

£45 quoted and isnt quick fit, so we shall see.

Changed the bulbs, changed the wipers (might have made a mistake there as they dont have the spoiler on)

Checked tyres (took them to a tyre place and they said loads of use left in them)

Also repaied the front spoiler at the wheel arach, not sure if it would have failed the MOT on this.

Before(didnt look too bad in the pic - but thats 2 weeks ago, was worse this afternoon)

and now

Seems when the van hit the spoiler, it snapped the fitting that locates here.

Should have took one of the wheels today, they have had a wash and all the brake dust has gone.   :-/

Good luck buddy, my car was lucky enough to pass first time the other day, could have knocked me down with a feather - take it to the same place every year, and give them good trade - must have something to do with it  ::)

Must remember to attach the N/S headlamp washer, found it under the car one day, wonder if anyone had tried to nick it so left it off.

Thats interesting.

Thought that all washers and wipers were checked in an MOT.

Thats 3 straight passes in my ownership, allthough odd advisaries.

88391 21/7/2009
89383  20/7/2010

Done 992 miles in the last 12 months

passed with advisaries on the exhaust and a screw in the OSR tyre.

Rock solid underneath, and the problem with the exhaust is probably from being stood for months at a time.
