Stagflation.

Interest rates have been held at 0.5% for another month.
Growth is weak.....but inflation is creeping up.  .......a period of Stagflation looms.

Does anbody here at OOF have the answer... ::) ::)....if only Gordon still had the reins... ::) ::) :)

Yep double dip for sure.

Once the job losses from the Con Dems cut in and unemployement soars.The Americans plus other countries in the EU will protect themselves we will see more problems.

All it will take is another financial institution to have problems.

best get ready for us entering a new war somewhere else on the planet...............................

The dip never really ended, it will end when house prices drop to the levels where they are affordable to the average working person ie 3.5 times single salary and 2.5 times joint salary.

Just my useless 2 pence worth.

Most people in business reckon house prices still need to drop another 25%  :o

For me the big story this week on this subject is the Russian drought, and now their ban on wheat exports bringing a 25% rise in wheat prices:

This, along with other world problems, will do nothing to help our food prices :'( :'(

Hen food in Spain never recovered to its former price after the last explosion in wheat prices. Instead they changed the bag sizes (clever marketing men again for you).

Hi Mike, we saw a few as they were arriving earlier in the week, but TBH the town is a nightmare to navigate so staying at home for the duration ::) I have no chance of being able to get near the actual berths & walking any distance is a no-no :( Anyway, i've seen enough ships in my lifetime, big small short & tall , varnished tarnished, trusty & rusty, blue, buff & grey funnel too!  ;D :y

I need to pop over and have a natter, but thought it best to keep away this weekend ::) ::)
I need to go to Seaton Carew, have arranged to go on Wednesday when it will be all over and back to normal, whatever normal is.... :D :D :D
