Jamie, I think you need to find yourself another, less petty, MOT station.

No.. Take it there next year, after a brussels sprout vindaloo the night before,  "drop your handbag" as you get out of the car and see if they complain about the smell. ;D

Kevin
That requires confidence, something I lack after a chicken madras the night before....

Get Jimbob to take it then

It might fail on emissions then though (although not from the tail pipe!)

I doubt it. They'd have to get the bloke out to change the clogged filters on their sniffer before even testing it. ::)

Just channel flicking, and there's one of those chavvy police/camera/action programmes on channel 5.  The police driving a high performance car at high speed with a rather great big tomtom type unit stuck to the windscreen.

Yet I fail on a rather poxy rather dingly dangly air freshner  >:(

Is this a joke? I can't believe a car would fail because of that... :-?

I  have just read the latter part of this thread with disbelief, :o :o my local garage would just have took it down, they will even do little running repairs, if they can while doing the test.  :y
Retests are free, I think, but does the work not have to be done at the garage for this  :-/

When I was testing I always used to remove them on the way into the test bay... They've been incredibly petty and stupid and if it were me I'd be contacting VOSA and the local press as they have actually issued a VT30 without cause (as the manual states you should have been given the opportunity to remove it) ::) ::) Obviously if it had failed on something else then that would be different :y :y

But it has given us all a really good laugh today ;D ;D ;D :y :y :y
