Thank F** goodness I'm on LPG. I have to do 120 miles a day if I want to work.

And when you consider the incompetant clowns in the civil service, DVLA, Companies House, Revenue and Customs, and local council, all getting paid for all their mistakes................

Mine is good, 55.9 per litre, plus a loyalty card that give you an extra 35 litre free once you have filled it with stamps.

We should fight on the polution front. LPG is a waste product, that is often flared off, and the car burning it is a lot less poluting that one burning normal fuels, as its a single hydrocarbon, and thus the burning cycle is better tailored to it, much more clean combustion.

So if "Our David" wants to increase LPG tax, let him first increase polution tax on normal cars to an equivalent level. Anyone know what the CO level for an LPG car actually is ?. I'll bet its's fairly low, and normal cars are about 10 times higher, so . ....

It won't be long before LPG catches up petrol. Remember the difference between diesel and petrol (older folk only).  ;D ;D ;D

Companies are charging less for petrol in the north apparently according to media reports, but as suggested by the media boycotting petrol companies doesn't really work, the most effective protest would be to drastically reduce your mileage,  a national "no-go" day will hurt the petrol barons and govt. tax coffers,  but who will be bothered to do that?  :-/

The Duty differential (between Petrol/Diesel and LPG) has to remain large for the "Green Credentials" of any government to stand. It will get smaller but I doubt it will catch up in the foreseeable future.

That said... Still undecided if I would go down the Petrol/LPG route on a new car  :-/ :-/

Trouble is... The V6/8/12 grin outweighs any thoughts of changing to a smelly oil burner ::) :D :D

Petrol has almost always been cheaper in the North... It's the North/South divide ::) ::)

In fact, one of the cheapest places for fuel in the south is Central London as there's more competition ;) ;)

Blimey!  :o

I was wincing when I saw that diesel was 118ppl at my local BP the other day. I am paying around 63-64ppl for the LPG at the moment and it seems I'll be sticking on it for a fair while yet!

If I was still on petrol I would be paying around 100-120 each week  :'(

Don't see how that would work. We can burn petrol if we want, so won't be paying any more than anyone else, and the conversion cost was paid for a long time ago so while it lasts I'll take 15p a mile instead of 22p, thanks. :y.
