There's shed loads of all kinds of cars on the road, and BMW drivers, from my observations are the worst by far. As you mention Audis are catching up aswell, as are Mercedes, and to a lesser extent VW. I don't think there are many driving stereotypes now, there is good and bad everywhere, but this must be a German badge snobbery thing. Again, just my opinion.

Like I said, i don't think there are many driving stereotypes now, there's good and bad everywhere, I haven't particularly noticed a disproportionately high number of bad transit drivers. I drive a transit occassionally, I have to drive to compensate for other peoples idiocy. I would never buy a BMW, because i wouldn't want to be associated with this snobbery.

Are you for real?  20 minutes ago you would have executed every BMW driver for cutting you up/speeding/tailgating/driving on phone/driving like an idiot/.

Way to go!

EDIT: I'll edit this post to apologise.  I misread your post, and you were stating tat was the stereotype and not your belief!  Again, I do apologise.

See now that bugs me, not just you that does it either, people don't only buy BMW's or any other German brand for that matter just for badge snobbery, granted some people do, not everyone does though. Me I have a BMW and a Mercedes, why? Because I like them is the simple answer, if Vauxhall, Ford or anyone else made a car that I liked as much then I'd buy one of those, but the simple fact is they don't. Another reason for me buying these cars is the fact I do think they are made by the best companies out there, not everyones opinion I mean I must buy these cars because I drive like a prick and I'm a snob. Simple fact of the matter is you get pricks in every car there is on the road, but because German cars are popular they get the worst press, and it would seem to some people if you drive one of these horror sights on the road you are instantly a prick. Well if that's the case I'll carry on driving like and looking like along with being told by a lot of people I'm a prick for the car I drive!!

Rant over, now I haven't had a beer in ages and I fancy one now, but I don't touch the stuff these days, maybe I'll go for a drive.

I thought you'd pick that up.

Notice I said 'many', not 'there isn't any'.

Just to confirm, of the few driver stereotypes, BMW drivers are really bad.

Live sober, safe in the knowledge that the majority of 'pricks' drive Corsa's/207's/clit's with bodykits.  :y

But then you'd be paying twice as much to run it for half the comfort. I think most people have been brainwashed to think that BMWs are were superior, and they subconciously perpetuate the myth.

The car in front, is a Toyota

The car cutting you up/speeding/tailgating/driving on phone/driving like an idiot/ is a BMW.

They were were years ago, but then so were mercs.

Then I retract my apology.  BMW drivers are the same as everyone else.  You get Old, Young, Male, Female drivers of ALL cars.  What is it you think that makes these drivers who have a BMW emblem 'really bad'?  ::)

I didn't say everyone buys them for badge snobbery. I didn't say you're a prick or a snob. I've got nothing against BMW drivers, that would be arrogant of ME, and I'm not like that. Many other people who I speak to agree with the BMW driver sterotype, above all else.

Such a sad argument.  As previously stated.  The 3 Series has been the best selling family saloon for a few years.  There are millions of the ugly things on the roads.  Statistically, you'll be cut up by one.  You have that stereotype lodged in your head, and that's why if ONE cuts you up, you'll register it.

I like BMW's.  I like the fact that they are one if few marques who produce decent luxury vehicles with 'proper' leather.  I'm narked that they also sell tat in the form of their base models.  Naughty BMW!  >:(

How is it a sad argument? It is the most robust qualifying statement a person can make; their own unbiased observations.

I don't know why BMW drivers are like that, but they are.
As many top psychologists will tell you (I'm not one btw): "attitude drives behaviour".

So when I ee said BMW driving in said manner, i daren't think what their attitude is!
