PIG UGLY.  sorry.

Can't see it as anything more than a blatant "we've got the mini name and we're gonna use it to the max" exercise by BMW.

Indeed. "Nobody buys BMW X3s anymore so perhaps if we call it a Mini our customers won't feel like such R.soles driving it." ;D

.. but it doesn't matter if the product is sh1te if all your customers are fashion victims. Perhaps they have been taking lessons from Steve Jobs. ;D

When I came to this part I was almost sold;

 the wheel arches can only be described as butch. :-* :-*

but then I realised that this was merely the bastaad child of an incestuous union so went off the idea; :( :(

Yet somehow it still looks like a member of the Mini family, the way a mother might resemble her child, or the way a teenage boy might have inherited some of his grandfather's quirky characteristics

I'll leave this one to the brain-dead afficionado's of Hello magazine, celebrity worship and reality television. :y :y

I had one that was not timbered and I thought that distinguished Countrymans from Travellers.  Seems not.

Am reliably informed by my Dad that COUNTRYMAN's were "estates" and TRAVELLER's were "estates with wooden bits bolted on to resemble american station wagons"

Any help?

Clubmans had the wood bolted on, on Travellers the wood was structural ;) :y
