Dont know how widespread Greggs the bakers is up and down the country, very popular up here. Just got an interesting "offer" through the door. Buy any 'healthy options' sandwich and get a rather great jam doughnut for free ;D ;D

...there on every street corner in Scotland - in fact if i take the scenic route from work to station ( which is about half a mile i can pass 5 of them)

Completely hate the place though :-/

I used to own a house behind thier Penrith bakery - Thursdays were best - Gingerbread Man day .....mmmmmmmm :P

FYI We have 3 in Carlisle and they are opening a 4th  ;)

I had a balanced diet tonight after reading this thread, Home made bread, my daughter made, laced with herbs, Marmalade and cider..Im thinking of a chocolate biscuit now but i must resist.. ;D ;D

They are quite popular down here (Heathrow area) and I like the stuff they serve up.  Sandwiches and rolls and quite good value I reckon.  I saw the "healthy options" advert in the window of my local outlet.  It seems strange to offer a healthy sandwich and then a doughnut!!!
