My daughter has a dog
« on: 18 September 2010, 14:25:54 »

For those of you who remember the "My daughter wants a dog" thread, this is an update to let you now that we have finally succumbed and have, from today, a new family member, "Buttons", a 10-week old chocolate Labrador puppy.

Really rather cute, even if I say so myself. :y

Once he has had all his injections, I will have to start on the daily walk routine...I may even get slightly fit!  ;) :D

we had labs from 1975 (N Reg) to 2004 - last one was a chocolate lab who we had as a puppy and made it to 14 years of age. Fantastic pets. Extensive travel and ageing parents make dog ownership difficult (i.e. unfair on dog) but no doubt we will get another in due course. Kids loved every minute of having a dog except when taking it for walks in rain.

My wife and son are desperate for a westie. No way. They will bog off to work/school and muggins will be left to do walkies and clean all the hairs up. I'm already thinking about bumping off the guinea pigs.

The expression on its face to me says it's already deciding whether to chase or chew

I'm very glad you're all happy with your new pet, Nick. I must admit to a touch of apprehension when I read the title of this thread. :o
