While the local "approved repairer" was taking 9 days to decide that my Omega was not an economic repair, the gave me an 09 reg Fiesta Zetec with 6000 miles on the clock as a courtesy car. I don't know what engine it had (probably a 1.2, as that's what was specified in the insurance policy) because they didn't supply the instruction leaflet.
What a pile of poo. I bought old-fashioned Fiestas for my kids when they passed the driving test, and they were great little cars, and reasonably economical. The new one used phenonomenal amounts of petrol, had a clutch that almost bit my foot off, revved far too high without producing any power and failed totally to make noticeable forward progress in 4th or 5th gear. Vicious brakes, too.
Good radio, though.

I was expecting a Ka, which is what I used to get when my Mondeo was in for a service - they were great fun, although I would want to go on long journey in one.
Sorry - don't think this reply adds anything to the discussion, really.
