If it's not been taxed or sorn'd from the beginning of Sept then I would think that DVLA will automatically tax it from when the old disc ran out ..... or fine you for not sorning it for Sept  ::) ::) ;)

I've just bought it though, and it has been left off the road.

Can't order online anyway because they'll send it to the previous RO, so they've got me all ends up now, I either lose a month for the same money or drive it around illegally, which I'm not prepared to do, the DVLA are a bunch of wakners.  >:(  >:(

Can't you sorn it from the date you bought it? You'd then be able to tax it when we get to Oct.  :-/

Considering you spend £400 on phone calls, I wouldn't have thought a months road tax would be too much of a drain on your resources.  ::)

That was un-intentional though.

Buy a tax disc or don't buy a tax disc. You're using up all the server space. ;D

Then you need to tax it now or renew the SORN now. If the previous owner didn't SORN it you will either be liable for backdated tax since it expired or they will fine you for not declaring SORN.
