Yeah I like that one too Guy.....looking at the front grill I'd say it's a 4 not a 6... But I could be wrong. :y I think it's on a "B" plate ...1964.

Another great selection Opti 8-) :y - I fancied that wee Sunbeam Tiger. :-* :-* :y

There is an identical one parked in our street Z, I think he's selling it to.

Thanks Opti, Nice looking (non-standard) green Moggy, I like the little A's and the bikes to :y

A35 van was the first car I actually owned.  Bought for £15 sold for £55.  Needed a valve replacing, new (white/yellow) number plates and some T-Cut (Tetrosyl in those days) and some 'nearly right' paint.

Actually in my avatar right now!

What was the difference between the A30 .....and the A35?.

I nearly fell off my chair when I read this thread and got to the following bit...

Very nice Opti :y
Lizzie, the first car I ever owned was a dark green Austin A35, I was 17 and it cost me £8! I once had it full to gunwhales with 7 up (people not the drink :D) & the exhaust tail pipe dragging a rut in the tarmac!!! ::) Happy Days! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

Yes it is too easy to forget the larger engined car that looked very similiar to the A30, but came out as the A35.

That must have been a lovely car to own as a teenager Phil, as my A40 was at 17 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

An early hatchback.....I believe Lizzie.. :-*

Well only the boot lid opened, so although it looked like it should be a hatchback it was not.  Great shame! ::) ::) :D :D :D :D

I have found this interesting site Optimist that fully describes the differences:

The A30 was my first car...small moon shaped rear window, long gearstick and 948cc engine. The A35 had the larger window and short gearstick...not sure on engine size :y
Did a de-coke on mine and fitted Austin Healey Sprite bits ....geeez...did it go ;D ;D

EDIT* I am having thoughts now that My A30 was 803CC !!!!! :y

Here you are Mark; a A35 engine, with all round pictures, and it's for sale.

Brings back a lot of memories as it was the first engine I had to strip down 8-) 8-) 8-)
