Neither have I.

We'll have to do swaps.  (Beats VAT at least!)

I'm sure certain elements in the investment banking sector are doing very well.

Now that they have had their turn at trying to destroy the country through carelessness and greed - along with the mortgage providers, estate agents, property developers et al - it's the turn of the workers (as manipulated by a cynical trades union leadership) to have a go.

However, this time around it seems that the path to destruction has been paved with purposeful intent, a factor that puts an entirely different complexion on the matter.

In my experience the left are very good at  generalising about all sorts of things everything has to be black or white.right or wrong for us or against us etc. Greedy spiv bankers being the latest example of this. I am probably wasting my time, but I will tell you a true story about a greedy spiv banker which happened about a month ago.
Greedy spiv banker(GSB) had been in the office from 6am. Had an extremely busy and stressful 14 hour day, Couldnt face the crush in the tube, so even though it was raining, decided to walk home. On the way home GSB saw a homeless man sitting on a doorstep with his dog. The man was plainly crying and had a look of despair on his face.GSB sat down on the wet doorstep in smart business type clothes, pu their arm around the man and asked him why he was crying. The homeless man went on to tell his story of helpless alcoholism etc. and how he wished he could find the strength to do something about it. GSB listened sympathetically until he had finished and then left. GSB returned a few minutes later with a large burger and chips, a pack of dog food and gave the homeless guy some money.
GSB told the man they would rather he didnt spend the money on booze, but also wouldnt judge him if he did.
It didnt sort his problems but when GSB left him he was smiling,
He said it made him feel part of the human race again. Most people wont even look, and if they do they do so with a look of disgust.
The fact that someone stopped and took the time to show they cared meant a hell of a lot to him.
Bankers- greedy pond life the lot of them, should string em all up. blah blah blah.::) ;)
