I too can only hope this some sort wind up, if not then it will be a sad day for OOF and its members.

I have always admired your knowledge of Omega's and other cars for that matter and your prized gift of  knowledge in general (ok, so the electronics bit falls off the edge a bit but were not all perfect), you have helped endless members, including myself, within this Forum and not doubt others.

I have always considered you to be one of the main Pilots of advice on here which drives this Forum so successfully, Im sure other members will agree.

Mark, we have never met, but if you are leaving then you have your reasons, so I would like to say thank you.

Hopefully your leaving the Forum is not true, if it is then, be safe and God Speed Capt. Russell.

Chris.

To be fair to Mark, the problems started two years ago and he made a difficult decision to stick at it; the past two years have meant him giving up a lot more of his free time than he would like.
The decision to leave now is not his, it has been forced on him, he does not have a choice to keep his account open...it will be deletd by others later today.
All the best Mark, for whatever you find to do in future.

I will join you later to indulge in a gallon or two of fluid.

I really hope this is another wind up ... as if it is not, it could well spell the end of OOF as we know it.

I'm worried .. seriously worried.

If it IS true .. then I wish you "god speed" and "good luck" in anything and everything you hope for the future, and many, many thanks for everything you've done for me and everyone else on OOF in the past.

Please tell me it's a spoof ???

agreed in every bit.. now I'm waking up..(late I know)..

you give one shock in early morning  ;D

this cant be real  :( :(

Thanks for all your help and work on all 3 of our Omegas, i've certainly learnt a huge amount in your presence, both in person and on the forum.

As mentioned earlier you formed a crucial part of technical advice under-pinning of this site, and your departure is going to leave some big shoes to fill.

All the best  :y

TOLD to leave and booted out??  no, surely i'm getting the wrong end of the stick here?   Yes, its well spoken about that there can be a "clique" within OOF, but...............???

Of course, if its for family reasons, I totally understand, have been there myself.....no choice or alternative, then.

I'm guessing that it is for family reasons... He already gives a huge amount of time to his "Train Set" and, sad as I am to say it, that is something more valuable than OOF :'(

Family must come first. I have recently had to make the decision to reduce my commitments to gain more family time too... Luckily OOF wasn't one of the main contenders ;) :y

Mark, yet again I say it: Thanks again for the help and advice. Best of luck with the future and we'll hopefully see you again at some point :y :y

A terrible shame. Dont really know what to say. Mr DTM is  in a class of his own with his technical knowledge on almost everything.
OOF will undoubtedly be much the worse for his leaving. One of a handful of people who are irreplaceable. :( :(

You will be greatly missed for the contributions you made to OOF. Thanks for your help over the years.

Best wishes for the future.

PS couldn't you rejoin with a different low profile name, clean slate?

Ow, sorry for the missunderstanding.

Today I leave my Job, been there for 13+ years (900 of us redundant), not been back on since posting as I had to hand my company laptop in.

No chance of me leaving OOF, to many trouble makers to keep an eye on

Sorry to hear about the redundancy .. but on the bright side, at least you know you're clearly loved around here on OOF ;)
