I reckon this problem (for us) is industry-wide. Every time I get my renewal notice I ring up, have a little haggle, get some knocked off and then accept the price.
This year, on both policies, the quotes were about £70 higher. I rang the ins companies up, only to be met with a brick wall...no reduction. I said I would ring around and get back. Ok, do that! Couldn't find anything that was equivalent cheaper, so had to pay up :(

BTW, some of the price hikes I've read about on here are ridiculous. Both of mine went from around £280 to £340/50, not rather £700. :o

I was with Hill House Hammond before they were taken over by NU and then aviva. ;D

And they wonder why there are so many uninsured drivers!! often see it on tv police programes, he/she was fined 200quid and 3 points for no insurance offence, well at that price you can get done 3 times and its still cheaper than having insurance!!

Castle cover, been with a few years now,as a first time customer they might ask you a few questions about your house insurance. If you answer, they will give you an extra 20% discount off your car insurance. Well worth giving them a ring,0800 51925 25.
