Yep, you can't beat the one I have. Swivel & tilt, 24", plus full HD. A really good monitor. :y :y

but as my eyes are sensitive still I prefer older style in job ( for programming) as their contrast and brightness can be dimmed until its dark ;D

and a secondary one if I need to look at a dark picture and use as second (lcd)

at home an lcd but cant look continously more than 2-3 hours :-/

Depends on your budget Martin.

Minimum I would go for is 24" 1920 x 1080

Would seriously consider spending money on a better graphics card to suit as well.

We got some of these at work recently - very nice as long as you don't expect a wide viewing angle (alright with our desks as you're forced to be 2' away from the monitor)

Would you rather have one large one, or a pair of smaller ones. Really depends on how you work.  I personally prefer 2.

The video card should handle most things, assuming you don't want to play games, but I'd clock it down seeing as its ASUS junk, should make it last a bit longer. Even more so if you are upping resolution, or adding monitors.

Actually quite a good point.. I have three at work - none of which are widescreen or particularly high resolution (1280x1024 on the three externals, 1680x1050 on the internal display) and I'd take that over one large widescreen any day.

Having said that.. I'd prefer the setup on the desk behind me - two of those 24" Samsung panels @ 1920x1080 plus the laptop! Might just steal his monitors while he's on holiday...  ;D
