I don't think any of us are perfect, Cheryl Cole included. I think she is lovely, she has done things that she might regret, but haven't we all.
If someone behaves in a certain way when they are young (and in her case an easy target), that might lead to them being accused of being prejudiced in some way, it doesn't mean that they hold those views nearly a decade down the line. We all deserve a second chance.
I don't think speculating about her marriage is particularly fair either. I don't think she married him for money when she has plenty of her own.
For those of you who think she has no talent, well that is just opinion. She is doing the best she can for her and her future, aren't we all?
If people think that her and her bands music is just manufactured ear candy from a pop production line, I'd invite them to read a book called 'Theories on popular culture', then consider every piece of popular culture they have ever consumed, and you'll soon see it in a different light. (I'm talking films, music, books, magazines, TV programs etc etc).
It's all just the same old garbage recycled into something 'different' with a slight 'change' to fool us into thinking it's new and keep us entertained. Look at all these Hollywood films for example, the same old storyline year after year, with the same ingredients in the story, an all star cast, but with something different to fool us, then we rush out and see it at the cinema, buy the merchandise, buy the DVD etc. Music is the same.
Popular culture is for the working man, who expends a certain level of energy in his day to day life, earning his wage, who then on a Friday night, doesn't want to expend more effort consuming 'high culture', like the arts, theatre, classical music, literature etc. Hence X factor, Big brother, soaps, pop music etc etc.
But yes I think she is lovely and would marry her like a shot!!!
