Talk talk,useless billing system,
« on: 23 October 2010, 19:16:36 »

Just received my monthly invoice from talk talk, which is for home phone anytime. Normally costs are £15.00 per month.
However this bill arrives with the staggering cost of £60.56. Checking the invoice, I've been charged for Broadband plus  a £29.99 connection fee.
Now broadband is with  Orange, and always has been.
So on the phone to t/t customer service, they keep telling me that have their broadband, and I keep telling them NO NO NO I don't. It takes over 45 minutes to accept that I don't have their Broadband.and that I should only be billed for their Home phone .
Now the question that I need to ask is,should I cancel my direct debit order,or them to just take the £15.
I'm still waiting for confirmation from regarding this bill.

Just as a matter of interest I heard that T Mobile have taken over Orange.  Appartently I got a message saying I could move over from the Orange network to T Mobile which would be better coverage for me.  But I never read there txt's, just felete them straight away.

So maybe in everthing that.s happened (As I dont know the details)(As I was told this by a friend also on Orange) Then maybe something has happened regards your Orange broadband.   Just a thought.

Orange and T Mobile have merged, meaning that Orange have access to the T-Mobile signal and vice versa...

Talk Talk are notoriously poor and have long spindly fingers that appear to be attempting to take control of a fair proportion of the UK internet access.  They certainly control Tiscali and a couple of other providers...  I used to be with AOL, which I know was under their control (transferred from Onetel, to AOL, all done carried out by Talk Talk)...  When I cancelled my connection with them, I had big problems with them, not getting the mac code, just getting them to stop billing me...

Just come off the phone to the accounts dept at TT,some how some one has signed me up for Broadband, upgraded my talk plan, extended my contract, without me knowing.
It wasn't me, I've havn't talked to any body from TT,let alone  ordered any changes to my account.
Waiting now for a return phone call from senoir management,I'm not holding my breath.

Keep on at them, they record all of their phone calls, which means that you are able to demand those relating to your account, they should also have backed up any new request in writing to you.  I would also contact Orange BB and ask them if they have released your MAC code to them...
