I always go to www.comparethemarket.com It has always reduced my insurance. Currently paying £316 per annum for two drivers.

just check you're not on 'continuous renewal'. I told Hasting a few years ago not to renew, but they did! To say I was a little annoyed was an understatement  >:(   ::)  ::)

be prepared for a BIT OF A SHOCK...

my insurance went up significantly this year when i changed from a 3.0 elite estate to an  3.2 MV6 estate.

(a 3 figure rise)

and shopping around revealed the only way to get a quote under £500 for the Mv6 was to have 2 cars on Admiral.....        but then the overall bill was still about the same as direct line want just for the MV6.

stuck with Bell direct in the end.... but it's now over £500 as opposed to £375

There's a lot more to insurance than the capacity of the engine. SWMBO's Smart should be next to nothing to insure if it was.  ;D

I *always* every year check my insurance on comparetherat, confuddled, and monkeysupermarket.
I invariably end up using post office insurance, for the simple reason that they only charge 10(?)% interest for paying over the year, as opposed to 30% with most of the others.

This seems to be a new trick  trend, been caught out with it, not on car insurance though......now I read all my post properly, can no longer rely on me needing to initiate a purchase.... :D :D :D

:y NFU Mutual.....give them a try; their quote of £275 (ish) was nearly £600. lower than the Aviva renewal. ;)

I pay for my insurance as a one off payment to avoid any interest charges. This is a little off topic, but I think we the people should rise up and tell the authorities and these big companies to ram it, and we should run our
country how we want it to be run. It is scandalous that insurance companies charge interest on monthly payments. Insurance is not a product that is received altogether at the same time. You start getting it on day 1 and have only received the full product at the end of day 365. Why then should people pay interest if they don't pay for it upfront?
