Man Lab - James May
« on: 01 November 2010, 11:29:33 »

Anyone watch this last night?

Bit slow but otherwise OK. Bit frightening that most folk don't know how to even wire a plug! Course that doesn't apply to OOFers. ;D ;D

What did you think of the programme?

Watched and enjoyed without going overboard, I'm hoping it will develop over the series.

We're probably not allowed to wire plugs anyway these days, isn't it required for everything to come with a plug - not like the old days when you'd get a lovely new toy and have to work out what to plunder a plug off because you didn't have a spare!

I remember my school pal when I was eight connected his train set controller by poking the bare wires into the wall socket and holding them in place with matchsticks......................... :o :o

Or we used to end up with one plug with at least two wires coming out the back..

Quite liked it, if a little slow at times.

It's true about WWII bombs still being found.  A few years ago when I was still at school I was walking back home to find police cars, a fire engine and a bomb squad outside a friends house which is just 50 yards away from my back fence.  Turns out they had a WWII undetonated bomb in their back garden!  :o
