I must be too young for a £100 car.
Best I ever managed was £180 for a renault scenic with no MOT.
Fail sheet was new brakes and pads, new cat, and some bulbs.
Checked the brakes - calipers sticking so I polished them up. Brakes and pads were OK.
Checked the cat - needed a new lambda sensor (fiver at the scrappy).
Bulbs - some twonk (probably the MOT garage!) had put them in upside down.
Took it to my local pet MOT-er. he says "what about this 6 inch rusty hole in the chassis? [smiley=shocked.gif]
Bit of tin + mig + filler, and back in she goes...
so bill is 225 inc. MOT test.
I phoned up the previous owner, and tells her that the garage she took it to was trying to rip her off - and dangerously, too!
I ran it for 3 months til I broke the torsion bar (too many books in the boot + a trailer).
Stuck it on ebay and got £400 for it.
